At Campbell Family Dentistry, we believe that the health of your mouth and body begins with your gums and underlying bone. During your new patient visit we will thoroughly examine your medical history and then perform a comprehensive dental exam. We will then check for oral cancer and examine every tooth in detail. After that, we will also closely examine your gums and evaluate the health of your bone on x-rays. Once we have gathered all the information we will diagnose your gum or periodontal health and make treatment recommendations based off of the information we have. Dr. Gowda Ardila and our hygienist are very experienced in all phases of periodontal disease treatment and can help you establish a dental hygiene routine that will keep your teeth healthy and white. If you have any questions about your current hygiene plan feel free to ask us.
Just remember: Your teeth are not the only important part of your mouth; Your gums are essential to oral hygiene as well.
